Privacy Policy

Loan IQ (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a loan and mortgage calculator app for Android and iOS. This policy explains what information the App and its third-party services collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Loan IQ's core function — every mortgage, auto loan, refinance, affordability, rent-vs-buy, and amortization calculation — runs entirely on your device. We do not operate a server that receives your loan inputs or results.

The App does not require an account, login, or email address.

Loan amounts, interest rates, saved profiles, and calculation results are never transmitted to us or stored on any server we control.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your financial inputs for any purpose beyond displaying them back to you on your device.

Saved loan profiles, your chosen currency, and your compounding preference (monthly vs. semi-annual) are stored locally using your device's standard app storage. This data stays on your device and is removed if you uninstall the App or clear its storage.

If you use the PDF or CSV export feature, the exported file is generated on your device and shared only through the share sheet or app you explicitly choose — we have no access to it.

Loan IQ shows banner, interstitial, and rewarded ads served through Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). AdMob and its partners may collect device identifiers, approximate location, and usage data to serve and measure ads, in accordance with Google's own privacy policy.

On iOS, the App requests App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission before any tracking-enabled advertising identifier is used. You can allow or deny this in the system prompt, or change it later in iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking.

On Android, you can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device's Google Settings → Ads.

The App and the ad SDK it uses may collect limited, non-identifying technical diagnostics (such as crash reports or ad performance metrics) to keep the App stable and ads functioning correctly. This is separate from, and does not include, your loan calculation data.

Loan IQ is a general financial-planning tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Because saved profiles and settings live only in local app storage, you can delete all of them at any time by removing saved profiles in-app, clearing the App's storage in your device settings, or uninstalling the App.

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date on this page.
